The Green Bay Packers will be playing the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday, October 12, at 4:25 p.m. at Lambeau Field.

Green Bay Packers:

The Packers are coming off a bye week, ready to go up against the Bengals. The Packers are 2-1-1, having tied the Cowboys in overtime. Quarterback Jordan Love is consistent and looks strong going into Week 6. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs and tight end Luke Musgrave seem to be Love’s targets and strong components within the Packers’ offense.

Defensively, Micah Parsons has 2.5 sacks and 9 quarterback pressures so far this season. Rashan Gary leads the team with 4.5 sacks and 17 total tackles. Defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley runs plays so Parsons and Gary can create pressure.

Opponent Insight: Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals come into Week 6 with a 2–3 record. Quarterback Joe Burrow is injured, so head coach Zac Taylor is looking to Brett Rypien and Sean Clifford to perform to their best potential. The team is looking for reliability and adaptability when facing the Packers in Week 6.

Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is an absolute standout for the Bengals, as he has 3 touchdowns so far this season. Tee Higgins follows Ja’Marr Chase with two touchdowns.

Defensively, Trey Hendrickson leads the league in pressures. In the Bengals’ most recent game against the Lions, Hendrickson recorded a strip-sack against quarterback Jared Goff. The defensive coordinator for the Bengals also stated that Hendrickson is a leader even off the field.

Key Strengths:

  • Having Micah Parsons on the defense has changed the line for the better. This addition allows for simpler defensive plays that make a greater impact.
  • In the first few games of the season, quarterback Jordan Love has shown good timing with his passes on third downs. This demonstrates precise and quick decision-making.
  • Ja’Marr Chase is a strong receiver for the Bengals, and Tee Higgins provides another threat and makes good connections with Burrow.
  • Demetrius Knight Jr., the rookie linebacker, made an immediate impact with his tackling ability, which made him a key part of the defense.
